Quick answer: Alfalfa meal is a gentle organic fertilizer (roughly 2.5-0.5-2 NPK) that adds nitrogen, potassium, trace minerals and organic matter. It also contains triacontanol, a natural plant growth stimulant, which is why rose growers love it. Mix it into soil or compost, or soak it to make “alfalfa tea”, and reapply every few weeks during the growing season.
